Description
Set Dosa is a popular South Indian breakfast dish. Unlike regular thin dosas, set dosa is soft, thick, and spongy. The word “set” refers to the way the dosas are served in small stacks, usually three at a time, on a plate. Set dosa is made from a fermented batter of rice and urad dal (split black gram), which gives it a slightly tangy flavor and soft texture.
Set dosa is usually served with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, or sambar, making it a complete and nutritious meal. Sometimes a drizzle of ghee is added on top to enhance the taste. It is lighter than other dosas and easier to digest, making it a favorite breakfast for children and adults alike.
Set dosa is popular in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and other South Indian states. Its soft, spongy texture and delicious taste make it a comforting dish for breakfast or snacks. It is simple to make at home and is often enjoyed during casual meals as well as festive breakfasts.
