Description
Plain Dosa is a popular South Indian dish known for its thin, crispy texture and mild taste. It is made from a fermented batter of rice and urad dal (split black gram). The batter is spread evenly on a hot, flat pan to form a large, round dosa and cooked until it turns golden and crisp. Unlike masala dosa, plain dosa does not have a filling inside.
Plain dosa is usually served hot and eaten with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, and sambar, a spicy lentil soup. It is commonly enjoyed for breakfast, but many people also eat it for lunch or dinner. The crispy outside and soft inside make it very delicious and satisfying.
This dish is considered healthy because it is made with very little oil and is easy to digest due to fermentation. Plain dosa is light, tasty, and loved by people of all ages.
